A 67th or South Hampshire Regiment of Foot Officers Coatee Button 1845-55

A scarce gilt example of a closed back button from an officer’s full dress coatee. Made by Jennens & Co, London. Complete with shank to the reverse and displaying the design of an Arabic 67 below a crown within a French scroll and the battle honours Barrosa above and Peninsula below. Good condition with loss of gilt to high points.
