Knight Commander of the Order of Bath Breast Star

A Regency period military Knight Commander of the Order of Bath breast star by Hamlet, Goldsmiths and Jewellers to their Majesties and the Royal Family, Princess Street, Leicester Square, London comprising a silver (white metal) ornate hobnail cross with a green enamel wreath and red berries surrounding the fretted motto TRIA JUNTA IN UNO in gilt over a red enamel ground. The motto translates to three joined in one. In the centre are three crowns in gilt and enamel over a silver hobnail background. Below the wreath is a motto ribbon with the words ICH DIEN over a blue enamel background.
The reverse comprises a silver circular disc engraved with the makerís details for Hamlet and a long gilt pin for attaching the order to a military coatee. Overall in good condition with some minor loss to green enamel on the wreath and several berries missing.
