Earl of Chesters Yeomanry Shako Plate

An Officer’s Earl of Chester Yeomanry Cavalry Shako Plate worn on the Albert Shako circa 1850’s comprising a two piece badge of white metal with the Prince of Wales’s feather coronet in the center encircled by an oak leaf wreath and the title strap Earl of Chesters Yeomanry backed onto a black silk velvet ground. A separate crown of the distinctive pattern completes the shako plate.
The reverse has two fixing lugs at 9.00 and 3.00 o’clock on both parts of the shako plate. The plate remains in very good condition with no losses or damage. A very rare badge to find in this condition.
