A Georgian Scots Fusilier Guards Officers Coatee Button

A very rare example of an officer’s small gilt open backed coatee button worn with the full dress and dress coatee’s circa 1820’s. No makers mark is evident. Complete with a shank and displaying the star and cross of St Andrew behind a strap with the latin script “ Nemo me inpune lacessit and the thistle in the centre. Wear to the high points otherwise a pleasing example.
